Project narrative

Situation

The ROAR simulation competition challenged teams to control an autonomous car quickly and reliably around a racing environment.

Task

Work in a three-person team to improve autonomous driving performance for the Fall 2020 S1 series.

Action

I helped manually tune the PID controller, supported team performance work, and provided technical guidance to newer participants.

Result

Our team placed second with a 1,104.00-second total and earned the fastest-single-lap result at 77.15 seconds.
